It’s been 3 months since the release of my debut novel Ricochet, and life has been very busy! Hectic, even. Long story short, I’ve been momming and working and booking and thinking crap, I really should write another newsletter.
Thinking back on the last 3 months, here are some highlights…
Once Upon a Book Club released their February YA Box, featuring… you guessed it… Ricochet! The box includes a special edition of Ricochet with a unique cover, sprayed edges, and gorgeous foiling— plus four gifts that bring the story to life. Available here!
Ricochet was reviewed by Publisher’s Weekly! “Carni’s snappy dialogue and tight pacing engages, while vibrant prose studded with accessible historical details heightens immersion. Fans of the period and the Grand Duchess will find much to love in this alternate history adventure.”
SOLD OUT at Barnes and Noble Asheville Mall in April and will be back to sign more books in June.
But maybe the most exciting thing is that as the whirlwind of the book release has started to settle, I’ve been getting back into my writing routine. Man, I really want to tell you guys the titles of my WIPs! But for now, let’s say…
R_______: the sequel to Ricochet! Drafting
T G o T G: a YA fantasy/dystopian enemies-to-lovers Who-Done-It with a three-trials-contest in a Pacific Island inspired setting. Drafting
W_________: a NA dystopian unchosen one saves the world story. Outlining/Daydreaming
Okay, as promised, I’m keeping it brief, and will be back with writing updates in a month (or two, or three…) Thanks for reading!
